Raw Geode Stud Earrings

£54.00

Raw geode stud earrings made with unique and precious raw geode halves - wonderful reminders of the beauty of nature!

Featuring exquisite little brown geodes that show their sparkling crystal centre. Known as 'Tabasco' geodes, they are named after the region in Mexico where they are found. This pair is totally unique, one-of-a-kind and well matched, with beautiful patterns and crystalline structure.

Geodes are natural rocks that are plain and uninteresting looking on the outside but can have beautiful crystals on the inside. They are created in hollow areas of soil such as animal burrows or tree roots, or even in the bubbles in volcanic rock. Over time, minerals seep into the hollow area and harden into an outer shell creating the geode. The minerals then continue to form on the inside walls of the shell, growing towards the centre, creating the unique crystal formations and patterns. It can take hundreds of millions of years for the space inside a geode to be filled, and many geodes remain partly hollow.

One-of-a-Kind earrings. Ready to ship.

  • Hallmarked metals for quality assurance
  • Please check individual product description for exact materials used
  • All of our jewellery is hypoallergenic, lead free and nickel free

  • GOLD OR SILVER PLATING is approx .05 microns thickness over a quality base metal such as brass. Hypoallergenic, lead free and nickel free.
  • GOLD PLATING OVER STERLING SILVER otherwise known as gold vermeil, is a layer of thick, quality gold approx 2.5 microns thick over sterling silver. A quality finish. Hypoallergenic, lead free and nickel free.
  • GOLD FILL is the next best quality after solid gold - it is not a plated finish and therefore will not rub off. Also known as ‘rolled gold’; a layer of solid gold is pressure bonded to a base of sterling silver and/or other quality metals, such as copper, and then rolled together so that the gold is layered throughout, from the outer layer right through to the inner core. Gold fill is indistinguishable from solid gold but costs significantly less because of its base metal inclusion, which makes it stronger and more durable. If properly cared for can last a lifetime. Hypoallergenic, lead free and nickel free.
  • 925 STERLING SILVER is a quality silver metal made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper or zinc, which lend just enough toughness to make it strong and durable yet not too difficult to mold into jewellery. Pure silver, like pure gold, is so soft and pliable that must be made into an an alloy in order to be strong and wearable. Hypoallergenic, lead free and nickel free.
  • Sterling Silver, Gold Filled, Gold Vermeil pieces are stamped to mark their quality and authenticity.

  • Hand made with love & care in Devon, England, by Joanne @ Artique Boutique.

All Artique Boutique's gemstones are very carefully sourced and selected from trusted, reputable and accredited suppliers. They are guaranteed to be genuine gemstones, or as otherwise stated. If an item is described as a specific gemstone, then you can be confident it will be the stone stated and not a lab created, glass filled, or imitation stone.

Please check individual product description for exact materials used.

Stud earrings come in various sizes. The size given usually refers to the diameter of the gemstone or design that sits at the front of the ear:

  • 2mm -- TEENY - Great for a second piercing, for children, teens, & those who want a really teeny tiny discreet stud.
  •  3mm -- TINY - Good for main or second piercing for those who want a tiny minimal stud. An affordable size for otherwise expensive precious stones.
  •  4mm -- SMALL - Most popular size. Great for most people who want a small stud that is easy to wear & noticeable without making a statement.
  •  5mm -- MEDIUM - Ideal for those who want a more noticeable earring.
  •  6mm -- LARGE - Relatively large & noticeable for a stud earring, makes more of an impression.

  • Post length is approx 1cm.

The post length, which goes through the actual ear piercing, can vary in length and shape depending upon the location the earring is designed for. For example, the average stud earring is designed for a typical lobe piercing location and / or a cartilage piercing (unless otherwise stated). The more atypical piercings, such as conch, traith, tragus or nose will have a different length or shape post.

All of our studs have a straight post fitting suitable for lobe and cartilage piercings, unless otherwise clearly stated in the title & description.

We hope that you will enjoy your jewellery for many years. To help keep your jewellery in good condition, please follow these care tips:

  • Your jewellery may have delicate materials which will appreciate your gentle loving care and handling.
  • Store your jewellery away from light, heat and damp when not using.
  • Avoid contact with water, sweat, perfume, body lotions, hair sprays, make up, oils, chlorine, and other chemicals which may tarnish metal, damage gemstones and weaken components.
  • Remove jewellery before you sleep, shower, swim, bathe, exercise.
  • Wipe gently with a soft cloth after use and store away from heat, light, water, damp and chemicals. May need cleaning with appropriate cleaner to sanitise (ie ear posts), but please ensure cleaner is safe for gemstones beforehand.
  • Ethiopian Opals should be kept away from water and moisture as they can absorb it which may cause a colour change. If opals turn brown and lose their lustre, leave them to dry out naturally.
